Texans Give Their Reasons for Seceding

For Mon, 4/2
1. Read Ch 15/Sec 1: Texas Secession.
2. Read and analyze the handout, "A Declaration of the Causes which Impel the State of Texas to Secede from the Federal Union." Write 10 sentences analyzing what the document says. Three of your sentences can be OBVIOUS, three can be NOT-SO-OBVIOUS, and four should be GENIUS LEVEL. Naturally, you may do more than 10 for extra credit. Pictured is the Texas Ordinance of Secession, February 1, 1861.
3. Great job of reading and acting out The Black Box today, students. Be thinking about what the black box was and how it could have started the Civil War. Can a box start a war? Hmmmmm.....
