Computer Lab & Divide Texas Into 5 States

1. Your assignment we began in class Friday (Dividing Texas into 5 States) is due Tuesday. Follow the directions on the handout. You can get a copy of the handout here.
Computer Lab - Mon, 3/31
1. Create an illustrated, multi-page Chapter Summary for Chapter 14.
2. Do it either in a Word document or a PowerPoint document.
3. Use the text from the Chapter Summary for your textbook. See the link to the left on this page. Copy and paste the text into the Word or PowerPoint document. Then add 6-10 pictures illustrating facts and concepts mentioned in the Chapter Summary. Be sure and include a map and pictures of the Mexican War and slavery.

1. Finish the first two columns on the CHART - The Republic of Texas : Problems & Policies. There will be two separate grades, one for each column. You will be able to use this chart on the Houston vs. Lamar debate and on the MAJOR TEST over Ch. 12. This map will help you visualize how the Texans and Mexicans differed over the boundaries of the Republic of Texas.
