Incidentally, at least one student expressed concern about taking a test over a whole unit after only one week's study. If you look at the study tips, though, you'll see that the amount of information you're being tested over is much smaller than for previous major tests. On previous tests, you were responsible for an entire chapter, all the superlatives, the pictures, maps, and sometimes additional handouts. For this test, you have to study only the 1.33-page-long summary of Unit 6, the four maps indicated, and about the same number of pictures as are found in a typical chapter.
As I mentioned last week, I am trying to help us get an overall understanding of Texas' development from the end of Reconstruction to the present. We won't have as much detailed knowledge, but at least we'll will know the major developments up to the present.
