INSTRUCTIONS FOR UNIT 6-8 PROJECTS
1. Due Dates:
Unit 6 - Tuesday, 5/27/08 - H, N, P, R
Unit 7 - Wednesday, 5/28/08 - C, F, L, M
Unit 8 - Thursday, 5/29,08 - G, G, J, R
2. Your team will be in charge of teaching the class about your unit.
3. Your lesson is to take up the entire class period. You therefore need enough teaching and learning activities to teach the class and to fill the entire class period.
4. Use the Unit 6-9 packet, your textbook and library books, the Internet, and other helpful resources to gather your information. Your presentation must be absolutely factual, although I also encourage you to be clever and creative.
5. Remember, this will count as a MAJOR TEST GRADE, so do outstanding work. You will be graded on both your individual preparation and presentation as well as your working cooperatively and productively as a team member.
6. You will also be helping your classmates prepare for the Second Semester Final Exam, which will largely be based on the Unit 6-9 packet.
7. Here is a copy of the Timeline 1865-Present in case you want to use it as part of your project presentation.
8. Here is the list of possible teaching and learning activities we brainstormed in class. You are not restricted to these.
