For Tue, 10/30: Quiz over the handouts Chapter 3 Summary & Texas Indians: Four Main Culture Groups
1. Learn all facts and concepts as well as the maps showing the locations of Texas Indian tribes and the four culture groups

For Fri, 11/2: Debates over Indian Tribes--Whose tribe was better or best? Be sure to have all your arguments and evidence well planned out. Bring all your notes and materials with you to use during your debate. The debate and preparation will count as a MAJOR TEST GRADE (in lieu of the originally-planned Chapter 3 Test), so your preparation and performance should be superb. Special emphasis will be placed on your use of evidence from the textbook, HOTO and other online resources, and chapters in Newcomb's Indians of Texas. The Debate Planning Sheet I mentioned in class is here, in case you would prefer to do your planning on computer. As a reminder, these are the debates, although not necessarily in the order in which we'll have them.
